Midnight Build: How I shipped Aurastoria™ the night before big tech announced theirs
I'm not a big team. I'm a dad trying to build something real to provide for my family. Night of July 19th into the 20th, I stayed up and built Aurastoria — not just another text-to-video box, but a place where stories become cinema and creators actually get paid. The idea I was obsessed with: everyone gets one free 15-second glimpse that expires, so you feel it, not just read about it. Creators get their own wallet link — USDC on Base, BTC, ETH, SOL — and tips go direct. No middleman holding your money. Referrals pay 20% in real crypto, not points. I published. I finally exhaled. Woke up the next morning and saw headlines — big tech had just announced a generic version of the moving picture idea at scale. Difference? They announced. I had already shipped the part they don't do: paying the little guy. I didn't have a press team, but I had a live product, a Terms page timestamped July 20, 2026, and users making their first glimpses. This is why I'm building the Citizen News chapter. If news only covers the big guy, the little guy's timeline gets erased. I want a place where you can tell your version, with receipts, and the community can see it. Truth doesn't need a PR budget.
